We follow the OSU Master Beekeeping program and also the WASBA Journeyman program to allow our members to follow the education path that best suits them. We utilize The Beekeepers Handbook as well as the WASBA handbook. In addition to classroom training, you will also have the opportunity to receive hands-on experience with expert beekeepers in our Apiary from April– October.

OSU MASTER BEEKEEPING CLASSES

PCBA has partnered with OSU for their Master Beekeeping Program and are excited to invite members to join the Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master programs. There are several ways to participate. Our PCBA program locally supports OMB participants with in-house lectures and hands on beekeeping in our Apiary.  We meet on the WSU campus at the Allmendinger Center on the very south end of the campus. If you can’t make the meetings you can still participate in the OSU/OMB online recorded sessions to meet your first year requirements.

Please visit the OMB webpage for additional information or to sign up. https://mb.extension.oregonstate.edu/
