BEEKEEPING CLASSES
The PCBA offers Beekeeping classes to all its members. We currently have Beginner, Intermediate/ Apprentice and Sustainability Classes which are held year-round on the first Monday of the month at 6pm at the WSU Puyallup Extension Campus (2606 W Pioneer, Puyallup WA).
We feed into the OSU Master Beekeeping program and also the WASBA Master program to allow our members to follow the education path that best suits them. In addition to classroom training, you will also have the opportunity to receive hands-on experience with expert beekeepers in our Apiary from April– October.

APIARY DAYS
Apiary Day is one of the best ways to get up close with the bees and learn from those who know them best. Held twice a month, these open sessions give beekeepers of all experience levels the chance to participate in hands-on hive inspections alongside knowledgeable PCBA members. Whether you have a burning question about your own hive or just want to see what's happening inside the box, Apiary Day is a relaxed, welcoming environment to learn by doing. Best of all, it's open to the public — so if you're curious about beekeeping and wondering if it's right for you, come on out and see for yourself!

Apiary Days are held April through October, see our Calendar for Dates and Times
Apiary Day is weather dependent. Please keep an eye on our website calendar as well as Facebook Group to keep up with any updates on what is planned for the next upcoming, including estimated times and lesson plan
Our Apiary does not have a formal address, follow the exact pin to the Apiary
Please come prepared with full bee gear - suit and/or jacket with long baggy pants, closed toed shoes, a smoker and/or sugar spray, as well as water for yourself.

OSU MASTER BEEKEEPING CLASSES
PCBA has partnered with OSU for their Master Beekeeping Program and are excited to invite members to join the Apprentice, Journeyman, or Master programs. There are several ways to participate. Our PCBA program locally supports OMB participants with in-house lectures and hands on beekeeping in our Apiary. We meet on the WSU campus at the Allmendinger Center on the very south end of the campus. If you can’t make the meetings you can still participate in the OSU/OMB online recorded sessions to meet your first year requirements.
Please visit the OMB webpage for additional information or to sign up. https://mb.extension.oregonstate.edu/
